Ann Aguirre’s Grimspace

Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1)Grimspace by Ann Aguirre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I recently picked up books two and three of this series at a used bookstore, in order to not be completely lost I decided to re-read Grimspace as it had be a year since the last time I read it. I had forgotten how completely awesome this book was.

It starts off with Jax in lockdown following an accident on a ship she was a jumper off. She loses everyone and is pretty torn up about it. Aguirre keeps the description of Sirantha pretty realistic. She is not a drop dead bombshell, she is a very real woman with scars and body issues like the rest of us. Enter March, the space pirate that liberates her from the facility she is being kept in although his motivations are not purely selfless.

Throughout the book Sirantha Jax meets several colorful characters on her journey to discover who is setting her up to take the fall for the accident that she was involved in that happened to kill several political figures and her lover Kai.

Enjoyable read, looking forward to the next book in the series.
